After the 49ers’ Super Bowl LVIII loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, rumours circulated via wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk’s girlfriend that the pass-catcher would be leaving the Bay Area.
Aiyuk’s possible departure was fuelled by Rochelle Searight, who uploaded a video of herself at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, along with the comment that they “might not be back here”. When asked last week if he would like to discuss a contract extension with the team, the wide receiver gave a cryptic response.
Searight responded to criticism of her own social media video, which infuriated 49ers supporters, with a TikTok video in response to her boyfriend’s remarks.
She screen-capped her carefree film and said, “I am getting a kick out of grown men acting like I leaked top secret info.” “This isn’t the Krabby Patties secret recipe, baby—there are no secrets here.
And whatever decisions he makes in his life, WE now have a lot to work out because, well, you know—WE LIVE TOGETHER and have a shared child. WE travel together as a group.
After being selected by the 49ers in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Aiyuk has proven to be a reliable receiver for the group. In April of last year, the organisation exercised his team option for the 2024 campaign. He caught 75 passes for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023. He was chosen for the All-Pro Second Team.
