The Rabbitohs have re-signed Peter Mamouzelos to a three-year extension until the end of the 2027 season.
Mamouzelos made his NRL debut for the Rabbitohs in 2021 against the Knights and has seven top-flight appearances to his name.
The 23-year-old played a leading role in South Sydney’s NSW Cup premiership success and 2023 NRL state championship win.
“I am very excited to extend my time at this club,” said Mamouzelos.“I told my manager I didn’t want to go anywhere else.
“I grew up here in South Sydney, it’s always been my team and I love this club.”The Dragons, meanwhile, increased their backcourt depth with the acquisition of attacking midfielder Jesse Marschke for the 2024 season.
The 26-year-old has made 72 NSW Cup appearances, scoring 18 tries and helping the Bears to a strong finals performance last year.
“Jesse adds valuable depth to our spine and comes off a strong season with the Bears,” Dragons coach Shane Flanagan said.
“We look forward to welcoming him to the club as we accelerate our preparations for the start of the 2024 season.
”The Storm and Wests Tigers have now agreed a player swap, which will see Justin Olam and Shawn Blore change clubs before the start of the 2024 season.
Both players have put pen to paper on three-year deals with their new clubs, with premiership-winning center Olam leaving the Storm to join the Wests Tigers and Blore heading to Melbourne after three seasons with the joint venture.
After being granted a release for the final year of his contract with the Panthers, Zac Hosking has joined the Raiders on a three-year deal effective immediately.
The 26-year-old back-rower arrives in the country’s capital after playing a key role in Penrith’s victorious Premier League campaign in 2023, where he made 21 appearances.
Raiders NRL recruitment manager Joel Carbone said Hosking would bring quality and versatility to Ricky Stuart’s side.
“In the short time we have gotten to know Zac and watched him play in the NRL over the last few seasons, it is clear that his work ethic, skills and character will be a great addition to our club, Carbone said via the Raiders.
website.“He also brings some versatility to our team having played in several positions during his career and we are delighted to have him on board.
”Panthers Rugby League CEO Matt Cameron announced Hosking had been released from his contract, which ran until the end of 2024, saying it would now give the club the opportunity to promote from within.
It follows confirmation that the Panthers will lose five-eighth Jarome Luai at the end of this season, after the three-time premiership winner signed a five-year contract with the Wests Tigers from 2025.
Luai made his NRL debut in 2018 and played 107 games for the Panthers over six seasons, including four consecutive finals from 2020-23.
“We are very excited to announce the signing of Jarome for the 2025 season on a five-year contract,” said Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall.
“His experience as a true championship-winning attacking midfielder will be fantastic for us and for the future of our club.
”The Sharks have pulled off a major recruiting coup for the 2025 season with the signing of Dally M Prop of the Year Addin Fonua-Blake.
