You’ll notice that only two of those teams—none of which received a two seed—did not make the playoffs when you look at the list below.

Victor Wembanyama, a rookie with the San Antonio Spurs, has the potential to become the first NBA player to sign a billion-dollar contract—and that’s before factoring in the numerous sponsorships that success would undoubtedly bring.

The incredible French athlete known as “Wemby,” who was selected first overall by the Spurs in the most recent draft, earned a four-year contract worth little more than fifty million dollars simply to play basketball.

However, greater deals might be forthcoming in the future, particularly if he proves his worth on the court and provides proof of it sooner rather than later.

A “golden” opportunity
Contractual restrictions that set ‘Wemby’s potential earnings after four years as a ‘freshman’ suggest that he may sign a five-year extension worth about 320 million dollars.

But, if things work out well for him and his career continues to grow, along with the kind of success that the Texans should be able to provide, the Frenchman may be able to sign a contract extension worth an additional 760 million dollars and five more years in order to surpass the threshold.
