It’s safe to say that the Spurs will be the ones to set the market for the three-time All-Star.

There is hope in San Antonio that Young will continue to improve his shooting and that a one-two punch on offense between him and Wembanyama will put the Spurs over the top. Young is currently leading the league in total assists for the third straight season, so he will have no issue finding Wembanyama when he’s open.

If the Hawks lose their point guard, they will undoubtedly have to start over, and a new Bleacher Report article details what certain teams can give Atlanta.

The only clubs listed that could supply more than two choices without a trade were the Los Angeles Lakers and the Spurs. Young has been connected to the Lakers, but the Spurs, not Los Angeles, can provide an even larger package than what has been suggested.

It is reasonable to assume that the three-time All-Star’s market will be established by the Spurs.

San Antonio is hoping that Young will keep getting better at shooting and that he and Wembanyama’s one-two offensive punch will lift the Spurs to the top. For the third consecutive season, Young leads the league in total assists, so locating Wembanyama when he’s open should not be a problem.

Young’s defence is a cause for concern, but with Wembanyama, Sochan, and Vassell in the lineup, having a weak point in the centre of the offence wouldn’t eliminate San Antonio’s chances of winning the pennant in the future.
