There is some excellent news, some excellent news, and possibly some horrible news for the Alabama Crimson Tide coming out of Tuscaloosa. While some of the aforementioned have only reached the rumor stage, even these hints seem to be generally connected to anything true
The Alabama Crimson Tide have some very difficult news to share regarding 2024 Alabama football commit Julian Sayin. The 5-Star recently traveled to California to play in the Elite 11 Finals.
The best quarterbacks in the country for the 2024 class competed in the Elite 11 Finals. It is widely regarded as the premier quarterback battle in college football. The quarterbacks compete for three days, with the MVP being chosen by the fans based on who plays the best.
Twenty other elite quarterbacks, including 5-Star Dylan Riola, a commit to Georgia, competed in the Elite 11 Finals.
Tua Tagovailoa was the last quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide to win MVP in 2016. Trevor Lawrence, Kyler Murray, and Justin Fields are other former winners.
Positive rumors and Alabama basketball
There’s no need to worry, according to a number of Alabama basketball insiders, as Grant Nelson’s official announcement of joining the Crimson Tide was delayed. The widespread consensus is that the announcement is being postponed until certain administrative tasks are completed. It has been proposed that those particulars relate to the transfer of academic credits.
The other exciting basketball rumors surrounding the Alabama Crimson Tide center on Jarin Stevenson. Over the weekend, Stevenson is anticipated to select his college from among the three contenders—Alabama, North Carolina, and Virginia. The question of whether Stevenson will reclassify to the 2023 class is one that must be decided soon. Many sources in Alabama basketball believe that Stevenson’s decision to enroll in the 2023 class will result in his selection of the Crimson Tide.
Stevenson, who is 6’9″, is regarded as a player that could almost perfectly mimic Noah Clowney. With Charles Bediako gone, Nate Oats would almost have multiple big men if he added Nelson and Stevenson.
Stevenson has developed a strong bond with the Tar Heels. His mother was an athlete for UNC, and he is from North Carolina. He has been recruited by the Tar Heels the longest and the hardest, but Alabama can provide more minutes right away and a more effective coaching scheme.
