“Former San Antonio Spurs point guard Joshua Primo has been suspended for four games by the NBA following allegations that he exposed himself multiple times to the team’s former sports psychologist.
The 20-year-old hasn’t played in the NBA since his contract was terminated in October 2022 following the grievance, and while the case led to a visit to court, the grievance was resolved elsewhere.
Then on Friday the NBA announced that it had opened its own investigation into the allegations against the former lottery pick, concluding that he had engaged in “inappropriate conduct” that was “detrimental to the league.
“In an official statement, the League said: “Following this process, the League discovered that Primo engaged in inappropriate and offensive conduct by exposing himself to women.
“Primo maintains that his conduct was unintentional and the League has found no evidence that he engaged in sexual or other conduct beyond these brief disclosures.
“However, this behavior is inconsistent with league standards and warrants discipline.
”Primo was the 12th overall pick in the 2021 draft and is now in talks to join the Los Angeles Clippers, according to ESPN sources. The organization felt comfortable giving him this opportunity after he was evaluated by specialists who consulted with the team.
