Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has been a marvel throughout his illustrious career and remains one of the best players in the NBA in Year 21.

Although injuries have slowed him down in recent years, he has still managed to stay on the floor for the majority of the Lakers’ games. Currently, James is dealing with an ankle ailment that he hopes his recent treatment will help him finish the 2023-24 season stronger.

While James looks like he can play at a high level for at least a couple of more years, he knows that his career is winding down. James’ agent and CEO of Klutch Sports Rich Paul admitted he doesn’t like to think about his friend retiring, via Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report:

Paul remarked, “Listen, I try not to think about that.” I try not to let that depress me, and I try to be positive. I believe there are false rumors circulating that I want to take him under my wing and do all of that. It is evident where it is coming from and where it is coming from; in a competitive setting, that is what I refer to as discouragement at its best. All of that being said, I don’t like to think about it. And not because of anything; he’s straight, I’m fine, both of us are straight. You could bring up Steph Curry, and I would say that I would rather not think about him giving up on the game. I simply don’t. I didn’t

One thing you must realize is that you are acting according to God’s timing when He assigns you a task. I am aware of the viewpoints and all that; after all, he is playing the game because he enjoys it, but right now, he is just trying to support his family and fulfill his obligations to their employers. Not because he’s after money, not because he wants attention, and not because he has more trinkets than you can possibly imagine. He adores the game, though.
