The NFL views the Crimson Tide defensive backs as slightly superior to the other positional groups because Nick Saban always gave them extra attention. There’s a fair likelihood that two of Alabama’s standout defenders from the previous year will be chosen in the first round of the upcoming 2024 draft.

Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry are both good Day 1 alternatives for clubs wanting to replace experienced veterans of their respective secondaries, according to Ryan Roberts of College Sports Wire, who recently provided a complete first-round mock draft.

In 2023, Arnold excelled as a leader of the team and as a player. In the first round, Roberts projects him to the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 22.

There are a few months until the first round of the 2024 NFL draft, so a lot may happen in that time. But if they do well on the test and in the interview, it appears like both guys have a decent chance of moving up during the pre-draft process.

Roll Tide Wire will keep up with Alabama football, as well as the players that are currently getting ready for the draft.

According to Roberts, “James Bradberry’s return to Philadelphia next season is highly unlikely.” The Eagles must come up with a plan to counter Darius Slay. A cornerback with more upside than Arnold, who elevated his game to a whole new level in 2023, might not exist.

The Green Bay Packers take McKinstry at No. 25, just a few picks later.

Roberts states, “Jaire Alexander’s future in Green Bay seems less than certain.” One of the Packers’ primary priorities this offseason may be to upgrade at cornerback. Among the class’s highest floor cover men is McKinstry. He just had a season in which he gave up very little in coverage, giving him a wealth of press man and zone knowledge from his time at Alabama.
