Sam Hauser Would Like to Enter the Three-Point Competition
Sam Hauser is hitting 41.7 percent from three-point range this season.
During NBA All-Star weekend, Sam Hauser might play for the Boston Celtics in the Three-Point Contest. Hauser has made 110 of his 264 three-point tries this season.
Hauser, as shown by NBC Sports Boston, would probably say yes to a request to participate in the event.
Indeed, it would be awesome. I’m not really obsessing over it. When it occurs, it occurs. It doesn’t if it doesn’t… I get to spend more time with my family, which I will adore, if I decide not to travel. It will be cool to participate if I am able to go.
Hauser thought back to his prior experience in three-point contests.
“I participated in one national three-point contest during my final year of high school. I was not successful. I believe I may have finished in third place.
Chris Haynes of TNT and Bleacher Report reports that Jalen Brunson will be participating in the competition. Out of his 309 attempts, Brunson has made 129 three-pointers.
The 2024 Starry 3-Point Competition is slated to begin at 8:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, February 17. The participants have not been formally declared yet.
The Boston Celtics and Joe Mazzulla appear very different from the team they were following their elimination from the Eastern Conference Finals. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum appear to be the only untouchable players on their current roster after the core was shook up.
The club will benefit greatly from the additions of Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, Svi Mykhailiuk, Oshae Brissett, and Dalano Banton, among others. This could imply that in order to secure a spot in the rotation, someone between Luke Kornet and Sam Hauser may need to put in more effort during the NBA Preseason.
