Terry Rozier played five seasons in the Queen City, but he never made it to the postseason. The Hornets did not qualify for the playoffs during Rozier’s tenure, despite making the Play-In twice.

The former Hornets guard has been sent to South Beach for a week now, and Miami has recently struggled, going on a seven-game losing run. Miami is winless since Rozier joined the team. In addition, Rozier has not performed like the Terry Rozier that supporters know and love.

He has averaged just 11.8 points and 4.5 assists while shooting a dismal 38.3% from the field and 35.3% from beyond the arc.

Rozier recently discussed whether there is a difference, if any, between losing in Miami and Charlotte.

It is completely the contrary. You’re kind of used to losing in Charlotte. It’s inherited in a way. In addition, It’s quite the reverse over here; nobody wants to lose and nobody is okay with it.”

Although Rozier’s words may come across as harsh to some, the unfortunate truth is that Rozier is telling the truth. With a mere 10-35 record this season, the Hornets are on track to win even less games than they did just 27 games the previous season.

The Hornets have the longest playoff drought in the NBA, having missed the postseason since the 2015–16 campaign. Players wouldn’t be very interested in joining a squad that hasn’t won anything in almost ten years.

A recent video featuring the Hornets against the New York Knicks went viral. The footage showed LaMelo Ball of the Hornets and a few other players giggling on the sidelines following Steve Clifford’s game-ending ejection.
