Football alumni from Miami During the Senior Bowl practice week, James Williams, Kamren Kinchens, and Javion Cohen have all had notable moments. The NFL Network will air the Senior Bowl on Saturday starting at 1 PM Eastern Time. Williams, Kinchens, Cohen, and Cohen are all members of the American squad.

The American and National teams are arranged on the rosters and in a manner similar to the Pro Bowl. The American head coach is Terrell Williams, an associate head coach and defensive line coach for the Tennessee Titans. This week in Mobile, Alabama, Kinchens and Williams have been collaborating with a well-known individual.

Ephraim Banda, a former secondary coach and Miami defensive coordinator, is in charge of the American defense in the Senior Bowl. Troy Brown, an American, is the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots, where he coaches wide receivers. American offensive line coach Isaac Williams is an assistant for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Giants.Com’s John Schmeelk commended Kinchens and Williams for their efforts at this week’s Senior Bowl practice. The NFL Mock Draft Database projects Kinchens to be the first safety selected by the Buffalo Bills with the consensus 28th overall pick. Williams is ranked 119th overall by the consensus.

“Miami safety transformed At 230 pounds, James Williams, a linebacker, made a good play by tackling a running back during a screen pass. His ability to cover like a safety and his willingness to hit make him a strong candidate for a position transfer.

Kamren Kinchens…appeared during practice at various times. During one-on-ones, Kinchens was able to carry a wide receiver in deep coverage.”

Williams has put on weight since joining Miami, when he weighed 215 pounds. Williams’ move to linebacker could be a steal. For the past two seasons, Kinchens has been consistently predicted as a first-round choice. For the 2022 campaign, Kinchens was a first-team All-American.

“For Cohen, the highlight of the day was using a strong out-leveraging move to throw Florida State defensive tackle Braden Fiske to the ground. Fiske’s rush caused him to open too laterally, which gave Cohen the opportunity to reroute his momentum and chase him out of the club.”

Cohen is anticipated to be selected 135th overall in 2024. That would make round five. Danny Isidora, a guard, was the final offensive lineman selected from Miami. Isidora was selected by the Minnesota Vikings 180th overall in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Drafting Miami offensive linemen should become commonplace under Mario Cristobal.

Under Cristobal, Cohen ought to be the first Miami offensive lineman selected. For the 2023 season, Cohen moved from Alabama to Miami. Cohen started 22 games for Alabama prior to joining Miami. In 2023, Cohen started at left guard for Miami in all 12 regular season games.
