Now that the Miami Hurricanes’ 2024 schedule has been released, it’s time to begin seriously considering the upcoming campaign.

Miami has a busy schedule that includes several bye weeks, in-state matchups, and a potentially taxing October.

The Miami Herald’s David Wilson and Susan Miller Degnan, who cover the Hurricanes, analyze the schedule, select their best parts of the campaign, and emphasize the Hurricanes’ possible make-or-break month.

Miami’s schedule consists of six straight games before their first bye week. They return in October to play Florida State and Louisville back-to-back.

When Miami faces the two teams from the 2023 ACC Championship game in back-to-back weeks in October, the Hurricanes will have a chance to contend for the Atlantic Coast Conference crown.

A couple of other notable events are Miami’s first trip to Syracuse since 2001 and the Hurricanes’ inaugural ACC trip to the West Coast to play California in October, just before the bye week.

This week’s other subjects include quarterback Jacurri Brown’s open remarks on former assistant coaches Josh Gattis and Frank Ponce, as well as Tim Harris Jr.’s leaving for Orlando to take over as offensive coordinator at UCF following a successful tenure as the running backs coach at his alma mater.
