Cincinnati — As he gets ready for a change on the offensive coaching staff, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow offered his thoughts on Dan Pitcher’s ascension to offensive coordinator.
Pitcher, who is 37 years old, joined the company in 2016. He was elevated by Zac Taylor to quarterbacks coach in 2020, the year Joe Burrow was selected in the draft. He is now replacing Brian Callahan.
“Our bond is the best it gets,” Burrow stated in a press statement. Without him, I couldn’t be the player I am today. He has spent years getting ready for this. He works extremely hard and passionately at what he does.”
Along with Pitcher, Burrow has developed into a player deserving of the largest deal in NFL history, and in 2024 he will attempt to lead Cincinnati to that elusive first Super Bowl victory.
At the podium at Paycor Stadium on Thursday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor unveiled his former quarterbacks coach as his new offensive coordinator, two hours before the coach’s first podium appearance as a head coach in Tennessee.
When asked if he was too young to be a coaching tree, 40-year-old Taylor shook his head, glancing to Dan Pitcher.
There are numerous trees in the world, and numerous individuals have left their mark on each of us. folks have worked here; I worked with folks,” Taylor remarked. Pitch was unable to even reach the stage of listing the names of those who had an influence on him. Your coaching package has shaped you in so many ways. It’s quite difficult to say if this individual had a greater influence on me. Many people had an effect on each of us.”
It was Taylor’s first opportunity to applaud Brian Callahan’s endeavour with the Titans as Mike Vrabel’s replacement. It goes without saying that they have a match in Nashville in 2024.
