The World Snooker Tour’s decision to stage an event in Saudi Arabia using a “golden ball” that might raise the maximum break to 167 has the support of

Additionally, it has been revealed that there will be a golden ball in the non-ranking competition called the “Riyadh Season ball.” This ball will be worth 20 points, but it cannot be potted until a player reaches a maximum break of 147.
It’s still unclear at this point whether players will be penalized or if the golden ball will stay on the table the entire time.
After winning the Grand Prix, O’Sullivan responded to a question regarding Saudi Arabia’s decision to implement a golden ball by asking, “What’s the prize for a 167, have they announced it?”
It will undoubtedly be a sizable award.
“Listen, the Saudis are a strong group, so they can do whatever they want.”
“I think it’ll be good; it would be great to play outside; every other sport seems to be doing something in Saudi Arabia.”
