“This requires a lot of work, and there is still a long season ahead of you. We must ensure that we approach it game by game, like we have in the past.”
That starts tomorrow when the Norfolk side travels to Elland Road to play Leeds United, fresh off a last-gasp victory against Preston North End.
The Whites are now fourth in the Championship and aiming for automatic promotion, but Wagner believes that focusing on the task at hand will offer his men the best opportunity.
“We have to make sure that we’re focused only on the next one,” he said. “Nothing will decide it after the Leeds game, no matter what happens at the conclusion of the season.
“But it’s a top game, and we’re playing against a great opponent in a top stadium. There will be an atmosphere, and these are the games that we labour for.
