In the early stages of the transfer portal, Hill had committed to Florida A&M. However, he reopened his recruitment after Willie Simmons chose to become the running backs coach at Duke. Now, he’s headed even further south to join a highly skilled Miami running back room.

Despite playing in just 14 games during his tenure at Florida State, Hill amassed 334 total rushing yards and two touchdowns. This past season, Hill—a former three-star recruit—also showed promise as a receiving option, totaling 83 yards on five receptions.

With three years of eligibility remaining, the redshirt freshman is going to Miami. CanesInsight revealed that he will be a walk-on rather than accepting a scholarship spot.

Ajay Allen, Henry Parrish Jr., and Mark Fletcher Jr. are among the running backs that Hill joins. With one of the best offensive lines in the country, Hill will have an opportunity to participate in this deep running back rotation.

With this transfer, Miami’s transfer portal class now has ten players overall, following the commitment of Washington safety Mishael Powell.
