Mario Cristobal is back as Florida State’s Rodeny Hill announced his transfer to the University of Miami via social media.

Hill was originally committed to Florida A&M early in the transfer portal, but reopened his recruitment after Willie Simmons decided to join Duke’s staff as running backs coach.

He will now head further south to join a very talented running back room in Miami. During his career at Florida State, Hill totaled 334 rushing yards and two touchdowns while appearing in just 14 total games.

Hill, a former three-star recruit, also excelled as a receiving option last season with 83 yards on five receptions.

The redshirt freshman will transfer to Miami when he has three years of eligibility. CanesInsight said she will not take a scholarship spot and will be an extra.

Hill joins a group of running backs that includes the likes of Mark Fletcher Jr., Henry Parrish Jr. and Ajay Allen.

To go along with one of the most talented offensive lines in the country, Hill will have a chance to join the mix of this deep running back rotation.

This move comes after Washington safety Mishael Powell committed and now brings Miami’s transfer portal class to ten total.

Miami still remains very active in the portal as they look to fill out their roster and build an ACC championship caliber roster around Cam Ward in Cristobal’s third season.
