Kaizer Chiefs have basically clinched their second signing of the transfer window, ahead of the new season.

Although yet to be confirmed, it is now no secret that Chiefs have acquired the services of Bongani Sam.

Sam joins from archival Orlando Pirates, via a two-season loan spell to the other Soweto giant in Moroka Swallows. Having not played in the last six months, he would’ve felt like he joined Chiefs at the most opportune time. This after they had just parted ways with veteran left-back Sifiso Hlanti. Unfortunately for the Gqeberha-born star he now looks to have a serious injury and was pictured leaving Turkey.

SAM THE ONLY SIGNING SO FAR

But as one new signing leaves Turkey, it looks as if another could be jetting in! This in the form of goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari. The Rwandan international is set to join from TS Galaxy imminently after Chiefs struck a deal with the club. The lanky goal minder has since taken to his Instagram to say his goodbyes!

“As I say goodbye, I want to thank the chairman Tim Sukazi for the opportunity he gave me to play for this beautiful club and the coaching staff, headed by Sead Ramovic and goalkeeper coach Greg Etafia for giving me my first professional debut and to my teammates. You guys welcomed me with both hands, I appreciate your love. To the Rockets fans I really appreciate the love you showed me, thank you. I wish you all the best TS Galaxy. Always leave the jersey in a better place.” Wrote Ntwari on his official account. This all but confirming his move to Chiefs.

NTWARI CONFIRMS MOVE TO CHIEFS?

After months of searching, it looks like Ntwari is the player Chiefs settled on as Itumeleng Khune’s replacement. At the Glamour Boys, he will arrive to Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Pietersen who both signed new deals. It will then be interesting to see who starts the season as number one.

Chiefs fans, how do you feel about the signing of Ntwari? And should he start as number one? Feel free to leave your comments below!
