Last season he was expected to push on but the winger suffered a series of injuries that disrupted his season.
However, he still managed to play 27 games across all competitions with six goals two assists to his name.
Du Preez can effectively play across the attacking positions; his versatility is what has endeared him to coaches and apparently the scouts of Portugal’s Vitoria SC, who ply their trade in the Primeira Liga.
It was reported in early June that the European club were preparing a R25 million offer for the Amakhosi fan favourite.
