Kaizer Chiefs secured the services of Ranga Chivaviro from former Premier Soccer League side Marumo Gallants at the beginning of the concluded season.
He had scored 17 goals in 30 matches played across all the competitions, explaining why the Glamour Boys went for his services.
However, the 31-year-old scored just four goals in the 20 games he played for the Soweto giants; but he wants to make things right next season.
“Personally, I have faced a couple of challenges, I believe I have underachieved as much as there were challenges,” the striker told iDiski Times.
“But I’m a professional, and I know such things happen. I always work on the next day, and I do my best today, and hopefully, it’s enough.
“Personally, I believe I can do better, and I am going to do better next season,” Chivaviro concluded.
Amakhosi have not even started their pre-season plans owing to the absence of a head coach. Reports have it that Nasreddine Nabi of AS FAR Rabat will be the one taking over from Molefi Ntseki.
The attacking department was one of the main let-downs for Amakhosi last season and Nabi might bring in some new strikers to do the job.
It will be interesting to see if Chivaviro will be retained by Chiefs in their pursuit of silverware in the 2024/25 campaign.
Currently, all Amakhosi fans are crossing their fingers hoping to get a tactician who will end the nine-year trophyless run.
