Max Verstappen, Formula 1 driver, has come out in defense of his girlfriend Kelly Piquet and called for an end to the cyberbullying and online hatred suffered by Nelson Piquet’s daughter.

“As a human being, comments and hate deeply affect me and the people around me. I hope this serves as a reminder for people to verify online content before issuing threats. Remember that, as James Clear says, “every action we take is a vote for who we want to be.” Let’s choose to be better human beings for ourselves and for others,” shared the three-time Formula 1 World Champion Red Bull driver.

Max Verstappen responded to Kelly Piquet’s statement by denouncing on Instagram the situation she is suffering:

“Hate has no place in this world. We know what’s true within our family and we are very happy together. I love you.”

Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet, who has more than 1.5 million followers on Instagram, met in 2016 and started dating in 2020.
