LOUISVILLE, KY: This time, it’s a homegrown product who is choosing to move on from the Louisville men’s basketball team.

According to On3’s Joe Tipton, true freshman forward and native of Louisville Kaleb Glenn has added his name to the transfer portal.

Glenn follows fellow true freshman forward Curtis Williams as the second Cardinal to access the transfer portal this offseason. The 45-day spring transfer window opened on Monday, just six days after the Cardinals’ 2023–24 season came to a close.

It’s unlikely that Glenn and Williams will be the final Louisville athletes to use the transfer site. After the Cardinals’ 2023–24 season concluded with an overall record of just 8–24 and a 3–17 record in ACC play, second-year head coach Kenny Payne was fired.

LOUISVILLE, KY: Kenny Payne, the head coach of the University of Louisville men’s basketball team, was sacked last week, capping a two-year tenure with the Cardinals. We will rank every possible applicant as a coach, going from the most likely to the most unlikely. We’ll examine Florida Atlantic Owls head coach Dusty May next.

With good cause, May has become one of the most popular younger college basketball coaches, having risen to prominence quickly.

Florida Atlantic’s season of 2022–2023 felt like it was taken straight out of a Hollywood production.

FAU was picked to finish fifth in Conference USA going into the season, but May led the Owls on a remarkable run to the Final Four, where they were just a buzzer-beater away from winning the national championship. In addition, the Owls secured only their second-ever conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth.

FAU has performed admirably in their inaugural campaign in the American Athletic Conference this year. They have a few notable victories outside of conferences.
