Christian Horner, the principal of the Red Bull team, urged Formula 1 to “look forward” and “move onward” on Thursday following reports that his organization had suspended a female employee for filing a complaint against him.

The CEO of Oracle Red Bull Racing, Horner, was the subject of an independent investigation that was started last month. The parent business of Red Bull has refrained from providing further details and has not revealed the purpose of the probe. According to the Associated Press, there was a claim of misbehavior against a team member.

In an effort to demonstrate that everything is running smoothly, Horner, 50, has consistently denied any misconduct and has been up for the team’s car launch, preseason testing, and early races.

Ahead of this weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Horner declined to confirm or reject claims of the employee’s suspension during a routine news conference of team executives on Thursday.

Horner said, “Look, I’m afraid I can’t offer you anything on that because I can’t comment on anything that’s confidential between an employee in the company.”

The suspension was confirmed by ESPN, The Athletic, Sky News, and the BBC.

“It’s true that issue has received a ton of press, but one needs to start at the beginning. After a thorough investigation, a grievance was brought up and eventually rejected. And we proceed from there,” Horner stated, addressing the subject in general. And I believe that a great deal has been made from this. It is evident that it has piqued the curiosity of many media outlets for various purposes. Furthermore, I believe that it is now time to go forward and put an end to it. This is where we come to race.

Red Bull declared on February 28 that the complaint had been dropped and the inquiry was over. The complaint, who wished to remain anonymous, may file an appeal, according to the firm.
