The Ohio State women’s basketball team is set for Big Ten Tournament action on Friday after receiving a double-bye as the No. 1 seed.
The Buckeyes will open quarterfinal play against Maryland, which defeated Illinois 75-65 on Thursday.
The Buckeyes are 2-0 against the Terrapins this season. Ohio State first defeated Maryland on the road 84-76 on Jan. 17, then won 79-66 at Value City Arena on Feb. 25 to secure the top seed in the tournament and at least a share of what would end up being the sole Big Ten regular-season title.

With a 93-83 loss to Iowa at Carver-Hawkeye Arena to close out the regular season on March 3, Ohio State’s 15-game winning streak was snapped and the Buckeyes now are entering tournament play with a clean slate.

Tipoff is set for 12:30 p.m. at Target Center in Minneapolis.
The game will be on Big Ten Network. Streaming is available via the Fox Sports app.
On the call for the Ohio State-Maryland matchup will be Sloane Martin, Christy Winters Scott with Autumn Johnson.
Ohio State vs. Maryland will be broadcast on 97.1 FM and 1460 AM and can be streamed via Sirus XM. Matt Andrews, Kristin Watt and Caity Matter Henniger will be on the radio call.
Last season, Ohio State was the No. 4 seed in the tournament and made a run to the final.
