With Friday’s 2-0 home loss to Spurs, Forest has now lost five straight games and has only triumphed once in their last 13 Premier League outings.

Due to their poor performance, they are currently only five points above the relegation zone in 16th place in the table, putting increased pressure on manager Cooper.

Many Forest supporters continue to back him, as evidenced by the home crowd’s thunderous applause before kickoff and continuous shouting of his name. Whether owner Evangelos Marinakis shares this sentiment is less evident.

It does seem a little irregular and unsteady. Before the game, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville appeared on Sky Sports and said, “There seems to be this constant want for change.”

“Generally speaking, a stable ownership structure leads to a steady club performance, which isn’t the case here.

It’s a little wacky and a little crazy, which feels a lot different from Steve Cooper. He is quite calm and measured.

“He’s been a huge asset to the club and these people like him, but he’s going to lose his job if he doesn’t start winning football games soon—I’m talking about tonight.

“The reality is the owner’s after him.”

After two hours, Cooper is still under suspicion despite a strong performance against one of the greatest clubs in the division following a third straight home loss.

Cooper has visited this location previously.

The 44-year-old was about to lose his job in October when his team was at the bottom of the league, but after losing 4-0 to rivals Leicester City, he was given a new contract.

Then, in an effort to put an end to “false and disruptive reporting” over Cooper’s future, Marinakis felt compelled to issue a statement endorsing him in April.

Cooper’s relationship with the supporters has been crucial, even though their recent bad run has caused such rumors to surface again.
