Five-star without a doubt At Ohio State’s spring football practice, Jeremiah Smith is having a positive first impression.

Jeremiah Smith, a freshman wide receiver for Ohio State, was regarded as the nation’s top overall prospect at the end of the 2024 football recruiting season. Based on his sparse spring ball performance, Smith is making a positive impact.

During OSU’s first spring scrimmages, Smith’s spectacular hands catch and subsequent go-down to pull in a low pass from quarterback Will Howard were among the highlights.

After an outstanding varsity high school career in which he caught 45 touchdown passes with over 3,000 yards and a 17 yard per reception average, Smith was regarded as a consensus five-star prospect and the top-ranked player in the 2024 football recruiting class.

Howard remarked, “He’s a dude, man,” regarding the receiver.

“When it comes to his physical attributes, that guy is insane. I can’t wait to watch him play live on the pitch. It will be enjoyable. What has most impressed me is how motivated and eager they are to work, especially in the receiving room.”

Smith joined the team after a busy summer in which Ohio State also increased their activity on the transfer portal.

The Buckeyes signed five-star quarterback and former Alabama commit Julian Sayin, former five-star defensive back sensation Caleb Downs, and two-time SEC-leading rusher and former Ole Miss back Quinshon Judkins in addition to adding Howard from Kansas State to head the offence.
