PHILADELPHIA: Even though the Flyers were playing, it was obvious that many Philadelphia sports fans had Jason Kelce on their minds because of the abundance of green number 62 jerseys that entered the Wells Fargo Center on Monday night.

“I anticipated it. It was emotional, and I didn’t want it to be real. “Yes, I did cry,” said Harrisburg resident Johnny Fogarty.

“I was delighted for him. I feel bad for Philadelphia. Extremely depressing for Philadelphia,” Mary Haraschak, who was entering the Flyers game wearing a Kelly green jersey, continued.

For the man who, after 13 years, snapped his final ball for the only team he had ever played for, the tears were undoubtedly flowing.

“If you adore this city, they will too. how much you cherish your brother. Going above and beyond to demonstrate your concern will win you love. In his 30-minute retirement speech, Jason Kelce stated, “Because they care,” at the Eagles training facility in South Philadelphia’s NovaCare complex. Kelce has spent 30 years in the league.

As news of Kelce’s retirement spread, Steve Profit visited Complex carrying a keg of Miller Lite for the player. The seven-time Pro Bowler drove off in his white pickup truck despite receiving a wave.

“He has been saying and announcing that he is returning with a keg chug off for the past couple of years. So I thought, ‘End of his career, let’s bring a keg down here,'” South Jerseyan Helms said.

“It was difficult to hear. It feels like a light is going out on Philadelphia football, and you can tell how emotional he is, how much the city means to him, and how much he means to us,” said Steve.
