Dallas — Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks was named the Western Conference Player of the Month for February by the NBA. This is the fourth time he has been awarded this title. Doncic has already won the prize three times, in November 2019, February 2022, and December 2022. In Mavs history, only Dirk Nowitzki (six) has accumulated more of these accolades.

With an average of 33.4 points, 10.3 assists, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.8 steals in 37.2 minutes per game in February, Doncic guided the Mavs to an 8-3 record. He made 39.8 percent of his shots from outside the arc and 51.7 percent from the field. In his 11 total appearances, he had eight games with 30 points or more, three performances with 40 points or more, and five performances with 35 points or more.

During this time, the Mavs tied their longest winning streak since the 2010–11 championship season with a seven-game run led by the superstar from Slovenia. With averages of 31.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game from February 5 to 11, he was nominated for Western Conference Player of the Week and helped Dallas win four games during that stretch.

In a game against the Brooklyn Nets on February 6, Doncic became the first NBA player to attain such a stat line with one or fewer turnovers. He scored 35 points, pulled down a season-high 18 rebounds, and added nine assists. On February 22, he played the Phoenix Suns and came close to recording a 40-point triple-double, finishing with 41 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists.
