Professional football leagues that start in the spring have been commonplace in recent years, and the United Football League will be the newest addition in 2024. Following a merger between the USFL, which reopened in 2022, and the XFL, which reopened in 2020, the UFL was established. In the newly formed league, four teams from each league will compete.
Since the AAF launched these spring leagues in 2019, renowned former college football players who failed to establish successful NFL careers have frequently appeared in them. This also applies to the UFL.
Three or four quarterbacks, most of whom were standout college players and some of whom had played in spring leagues recently, are on each of the eight rosters.

After leading Arlington to the 2023 XFL title and winning game MVP in a 35–26 victory over the D.C. Defenders, Perez has already established himself as an iconic member of the Arlington team. He was one of the best quarterbacks in the USFL with the New Jersey Generals a year prior. In 2017, the Texas A&M Commerce graduate helped his former school win a Division II national championship. Along with playing for numerous teams in past XFL, USFL, and now-defunct AAF versions, he also shared coffee mugs with the Los Angeles Rams, philadelphia EaglesP, and Detroit Lions.
Lindsey Scott of the Arlington Renegades (LSU, Nicholls, Incarnate Word, East Mississippi C.C., Missouri)
Throughout the course of seven seasons, Scott attended five different universities in an uncommon collegiate career. He redshirted his first year of college at LSU in 2016 and went on to play for the Cardinals in his final season of college in 2022, throwing for over 4,600 yards and 60 touchdowns. He also attended East Mississippi Community College, Missouri, Nicholls, and Incarnate Word.
During his tenure at Ole Miss, Corral was a member of the second team of the SEC football team and threw for 8,281 yards and 57 touchdowns. Despite being selected by the Carolina Panthers in the third round in 2022, he was sidelined for the whole season due to a Lisfranc injury sustained during the preseason. In ’23, he signed a contract with the New England Patriots, but he was cut early in the season.
