Before he threw four interceptions against the Ravens on Christmas night, he was enjoying one of the greatest seasons ever.
After that, he started to play worse, and during the playoffs, he had a passable passer rating of 88.2.
And it could have been worse; defenders had dropped several possible interceptions that he had. Has Purdy been solved in the same way that Jalen Hurts was solved? It is conceivable. Next season, we’ll find out.
Yet, I have a feeling Purdy will recover because he is a really diligent worker who is upfront about his shortcomings. Unlike Jimmy Garoppolo, who retreated from his flaws, he always strengthens his areas of weakness.
