CST, December 20, 2023AUSTIN, Texas – Wednesday was National Signing Day for the Class of 2024, and the Texas Longhorns football team secured the signatures of a number of high-profile recruits from across the country.

The Longhorns signed 12 prospects currently ranked in the ESPN 300, along with nine additional additions and two highly sought-after transfers.

Here are the incoming freshmen who officially signed their national letters of intent for the Longhorns on Wednesday, with grades based on the 2024 ESPN 300 list.

Wednesday morning marked the start of the early signing period, a 72-hour period during which recruits can sign their National Letter of Intent.

The Longhorns are expected to finalize a handful of high-profile commitments on the first National Signing Day, including several from the Lone Star State.Chron’s Josh Criswell will provide live updates on UT signees throughout the day.

A hard blow on national signing dayHeading into National Signing Day, four-star athlete Aeryn Hampton was the Longhorns’ 10th-highest pick in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

However, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, the Dangerfield, Texas product has reversed his commitment to Alabama.
