FRISCO: Numerous rumors on social media on Wednesday claimed that Adrian Peterson, a former NFL running back and star from Texas prep school, was selling off autographs and trophies he won while in the league at a Houston estate sale.
Of course, the first thing people say is how “sad” the story is.
Thankfully, though, the story doesn’t seem to be true at all.

In addition, Peterson himself stated in a statement that he had no intention of selling any of his well-earned achievement symbols and that they had not been listed with his permission.
“I would like to address recent media reports and rumors. Despite my explicit instructions to keep personal belongings undisturbed, an estate sale company included some of my trophies in a sale without my consent. In the statement, Peterson said, “I did not authorize the sale of any of my trophies, and I will be taking legal action.” “I want to be clear that I have a stable financial situation and that I would never part with my well-earned awards.
Numerous items unrelated to his football career are also up for auction, such as furniture, clothing, and shoes.
AD stated: “Despite explicit instructions to leave personal items untouched, an estate sale company included some of my trophies in the sale without my permission. I will be filing a lawsuit since I did not approve of any of my trophies being sold.
“My error was entrusting this company unsupervised. We gave them explicit instructions and let them into a few of my storage units. They obviously committed a crime.
