After the Super Bowl, the Eagles and the other thirty-one NFL teams will begin their financial makeover with the intention of making it to the postseason.

Joel Corry of CBS Sports recently examined important offseason dates, beginning on March 13 and ending with the first week of the 2024 league season.

On some days, Philadelphia will be able to clear cap space; on other dates, general manager Howie Roseman will have to make some difficult choices.

The important dates and players affected by Over The Cap are listed below.

Players with less than four years of service for benefit reasons are susceptible to waivers and their contracts can be claimed by other teams. The waiver procedure for 2024 has begun.

When released, players with four or more years of service become free agents and are available for signing right away.

Joel Corry of Over The Cap reports that the Eagles will have ten days to exercise their option on quarterback Jalen Hurts’ dummy 2029 contract year. If the option is exercised, the team will pay $38.875 million, which will lower Hurts’ fully guaranteed $40 million base salary in 2024 to a fully guaranteed $1.125 million.

Hurts’ 2025 base pay of $16.5 million is also completely guaranteed.

At the time of signing, $3.696 million of his $51 million 2025 basic salary was fully guaranteed against injury, indicating that he is here to stay. The remaining $51 million was not guaranteed against injury.
