Burrow completed 27-41 for 222 yards and two touchdowns after throwing for just 82 yards in last weekend’s season-opening loss to Cleveland. Burrow missed the majority of the preseason due to the injury.
We’ll just have to wait and see,” Burrow stated following the match.
“I have no idea how it will feel in the upcoming days. We’ll probably have to take it day by day even though it’s quite sore right now and I have no idea how it will fall.
“After a few nights and sleeps, we’ll assess the situation and decide where to go next.
“When you have these kinds of issues, you always have to manage something that is ongoing. We’ll just have to wait and see how I feel over the next several days.”
Burrow responded, “I don’t know,” when asked if he thought he would need to manage the injury going forward in the campaign. It’s difficult to predict and difficult to see that far into the future.
“I’m doing everything I can to get healthy and get that thing the way I need it to so I can go out and perform the way I need to, to win, we’ll see.”
Last season, the Bengals finished as AFC North champions with a 12-4 record after overcoming a 0-2 start. Burrow is confident that the team can make a similar comeback this year.
According to the 26-year-old, one of the main things that helps the team’s offense thrive is getting off to a quicker start.
It’s difficult to get off to a quick start when your quarterback is out of camp. It’s not the best of circumstances, Burrow remarked.
