Nevada’s Las VegasA former Las Vegas Raiders linebacker stunned the globe just after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers, 25–22, in an overtime thriller that was Super Bowl LVIII.
The most powerful professional sports league in the world, the National Football League, has been called out by Will Compton, who is well-known for his time spent in the NFL and currently co-hosting Bussin’ with the Boys.
He said on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter: “NFL is essentially the WWE these days. Everything was preplanned. Finished. They choose the winner they desire. It’s all entertainment, and to be very honest, I have no idea why I watch or care so much. Everything is phoney.
Compton did not address the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce or his girlfriend, the world-renowned singer Taylor Swift, but this week’s inquiries directed at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell struck a chord with Compton.
He said on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter: “NFL is essentially the WWE these days. Everything was preplanned. Finished. They choose the winner they desire. It’s all entertainment, and to be very honest, I have no idea why I watch or care so much. Everything is phoney.
During his annual state of the NFL news conference earlier this week, Goodell was questioned on if the league he heads is predetermined.
“I don’t think I’m that good a scripter, or anybody on our staff,” Goodell stated. “Hey, that was not anything I could have scripted. That’s how I would phrase it.”
Furthermore, Goodell declared: “I believe it’s ridiculous to think that this was preplanned or that it was a script. To be honest, it’s not even worth discussing. We witness a couple enjoying themselves together. That is fantastic. I hope the best for them. They’re both really nice individuals.”
Although it may seem absurd to believe that the NFL is rigged or scripted, Compton’s thoughts are shared by many in the league, and the league has a serious problem.
We’ll be waiting to hear Compton go into further detail about his remarks or even Goodell’s answer.
The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25–27, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan. The No. 13 overall pick is presently in the hands of the Las Vegas Raiders.
