Greetings, Gang Green Nation, and good morning! To wrap up the 2023–24 NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers square off in the Super Bowl today. It has been 55 years since the Jets made their one and only Super Bowl appearance. The Jets have little chance of winning a Super Bowl anytime soon unless Aaron Rodgers recovers from a serious injury and returns in 2024 to play at a level the NFL hasn’t seen from him since 2021. The Jets will still require a nearly complete overhaul of the offensive line and wide receiver group even in the extremely unlikely event that a nearly 41-year-old Rodgers returns in the fall and plays at an MVP level.

a realistic chance at a championship, the Jets will still require a nearly complete overhaul of the wide receiver group and the offensive line. A Super Bowl appearance this soon seems like a pipe dream for the Jets because so many improbable things have to go right. The team will eventually need to find a new quarterback who can compete at the highest levels because Aaron Rodgers will eventually retire.

It will take the team at least a few more years to recover from all the dead money on the salary cap, rebuild, and emerge as real contenders after cleaning house with the coaches and front office. As of right now, it appears that a Jets Super Bowl run would be most likely in the late 2020s to early 2030s. Of course, there is also the issue of the Johnsons, who will probably be in charge of this team for many, many years to come—probably on a road to nowhere.
