Most Kansas City Chiefs supporters would concur that Patrick Mahomes’ offensive line still needs another trustworthy pass-catcher. However, the athlete need not be a wide receiver.

Zach Ertz, a three-time Pro Bowl tight end, is a potentially better choice. Chiefs Kingdom has been putting a lot of pressure on Ertz to sign after the veteran TE Blake Bell was intercepted in Week 15.

On a squad with poor passing options, Blake Bell is ranked as the eleventh best option. What makes him even run routes? When Mahomes was intercepted by the New England Patriots on a ball intended for Bell, KC radio presenter Carrington Harrison expressed his thoughts.

On December 18, Chiefs supporters weren’t the only ones encouraging Ertz to move to Kansas City. The NFL staff at Bleacher Report agreed with the Kingdom and recommended that KC sign the tight end this week.
