The Steelers’ Goal for the New OC.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are searching for a new player, but they also want to make the most of what they already have.

Pittsburgh The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to replace their offensive coordinator, and rumours circulating outside the team suggest that they are open to exploring other options. New plans, new concepts, and a fresh strategy. Internally, though, recruiters are searching for someone who can take their offence and make it better rather than necessarily changing it.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ president, Art Rooney II, provided some clarification regarding the team’s offensive coordinator search when speaking with local reporters. First, Mike Tomlin, the head coach, would have the final say over who gets hired.

“Head coaches hire their coordinators, and I think it’d be a mistake for me to try and screw up the lines of authority in terms of how things are supposed to work,” Rooney stated.

The second reason is that they want someone who can really run with their roster and vision. The squad is looking for a new playcaller that shares their vision but can create a winning strategy because they currently have players like George Pickens, Jaylen Warren, Najee Harris, and a few other important offensive linemen.

“I believe we know the general layout of the offence we want to see from the Steelers. Additionally, there is a specific squad mix that you can’t alter drastically over night, so your coordinator needs to be certain they can succeed with this roster,” Rooney stated. “Someone who works with this roster and comes in believing that.

” Utilise the roster and some of the skill sets that we have already begun to build. That, I believe, is what we’re searching for.”
