In the upcoming days, Parramatta will welcome back captai Demitric Sifakula and representative prop Junior Paulo. The two had been sidelined from full training while they recovered from injuries to their knees and toes, respectively.

The club announced an update on January 23 stating that Makahesi Makatoa (pec) and Daejarn Asi (finger), who underwent surgery during the off-season, are getting close to being fully fit again. Additionally, the two have rejoined the main training group after finishing their individual recuperation periods.

Despite sustaining injuries during preseason training, halves Shaun Johnson and Adam Reynolds are still expected to play in Round 1 for the Warriors and Broncos, which is good news.

After receiving assistance from the field during a training session, Reynolds gave the Broncos’ camp a scare. The team later confirmed that the 33-year-old suffered a strain to his right foot but that he would only be missing a few days of practice.

The Warriors, on the other hand, intend to start Johnson’s return to running in the final week of January. Johnson sustained a minor ankle strain that required him to wear a moon boot.

Balin Cupples, the club’s head of performance, also provided updates on rookie back rower Demitric Sifakula and winger Ed Kosi, with Sifakula expected to return from ACL surgery in the middle of the season and Kosi expected to make his competitive debut in the first round following a scaphoid repair.
