Bam Adebayo is irate about two Miami Heat problems: “It has been occurring in successive games.”Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat recently mentioned two problems that have beset the squad.

The Heat have now dropped their previous six games following their defeat by the New York Knicks, who have the longest active winning run of any Eastern Conference team at six games. During the team’s losing run, Miami has let its opponents score 105 points or more in each of its games.

Notably, on January 25, the Heat gave up 143 points against the Boston Celtics. Boston won the game by a score of 33 points, shooting 63.7 percent from the field and 55.0 percent from beyond the arc as a team.

In 32 minutes of play, 25-year-old Jayson Tatum scored a team-high 26 points on 15 field goal attempts, leading the Celtics in scoring.

More recently, on Saturday, the Knicks defeated the Heat 125 points to none. Guard Jalen Brunson of New York shot 4-of-8 from 3-point range and 12-of-22 from the floor to score 32 points, five rebounds, and eight assists.

With a record of 24-22, the Heat presently hold the seventh position in the Eastern Conference and are two games behind the Indiana Pacers for the sixth spot.

Miami’s next opportunity to end its current losing run and address its defensive issues comes on January 29 at home against the Phoenix Suns. Over the past three weeks, the Suns have arguably been playing better than any other team in the league. Their previous seven-game winning streak came to an end on Friday when they were defeated by Pascal Siakam and the Pacers.

Phoenix also boasts Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, three of the league’s best offensive players.

The Heat’s next matchup with the Suns should prove to be a tough test for the group. Gaining victory over the highly skilled Suns squad could be crucial in assisting Miami in getting back on track.
