Before their Saturday night matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, the Golden State Warriors made an announcement on a roster change.
They said that Gui Santos had been called up from the G-League Santa Cruz Warriors.
“The Golden State Warriors have recalled forward Gui Santos from the team’s G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, it was announced today,” the Warriors stated in their statement.mSantos played 32 minutes against the Sioux Falls Skyforce last night and finished with 19 points, six rebounds, and one assist.
With Santa Cruz this season, Santos has played in 15 NBA G League Winter Showcase games (all starts) and averages 14.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 28.7 minutes per game. With Golden State, he has made four appearances and averaged 3.3 points.

Nevertheless, Golden State has made an effort to have him play for the big club when Santa Cruz isn’t available, which provides them with additional depth if necessary.
Although Santos now lacks a clear path to playing time in the NBA, the Warriors expect to see him continue to grow in the G-League, where he has displayed some excellent play while bouncing between Santa Cruz and Golden State.
