The Miami Heat have not yet established a date for Jaime Jaquez Jr.’s return to the active roster after he has missed the previous five games. The squad has won just once in the five games the former UCLA Bruin has missed.
According to the Miami Heat’s injury update, Jaime Jaquez Jr. suffered a groyne injury. The report states that the injury happened on January 14. The 2023 18th overall pick was forced to miss his first few games of his early career due to this injury.
The 22-year-old also had a groyne injury on October 26 but was still able to play despite the discomfort. On December 29, it was discovered that he had sustained a head injury in addition to the groyne damage. He was cleared to play in the game against the Utah Jazz, though, by the team physicians.
Coach Erik Spoelstra provided an insightful update, according to Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald, stating that Jaime Jaquez Jr. is healing nicely from his groyne injury but that the team doctors have not yet determined when he can play again.
On January 27, the Miami Heat and theJaime Jaquez Jrwill play at Madison Square Garden. It is unclear if Jaquez Jr. will be able to play.
