Once again, the record for sales price has been shattered in Hidden Hills, a renowned rich suburb in Southern California.

A brand-new spec home perched atop a high ridge has quietly sold for $28.2 million, easily surpassing a $26 million Hidden Hills transaction from earlier this year and becoming the most expensive region property ever sold.

Records show that the buyers are Matthew and Kelly Stafford, the $160 million man who guided the Los Angeles Rams to victory in Super Bowl LVI, according to Robb Report.

It turns out that the Staffords had owned a 1980s red-brick home and vineyard next door to their new mansion on the hill since March 2022, when they paid $10.5 million for it.

They currently oversee a 3-acre property with two opulent mansions and two swimming pools, all of which are estimated to be worth almost $40 million, after purchasing the more contemporary estate next door.

The Stafford family has owned at least five homes in the guard-gated community of Hidden Hills in only the last three years, demonstrating their ardent love for the area.

They paid private aviation CEO Bill Papariella $21 million last year for the sale of a glassy home located in another part of the enclave.

Even though the new Stafford residence was only constructed this year, it is situated atop sacred celebrity territory.

After all, Jennifer Lopez, who occupied the hilltop lot from 2010 to 2017, owned half of the enormous property.

The estate featured a large mansion that Lopez lavishly redecorated while she owned it.
