A previous MVP of the Super Bowl may require more incentive as their career draws to a conclusion.
That might be wishing for one more postseason run, demonstrating that they still have something to offer the sport, or spending priceless time with your loved ones.
All of those reasons might apply to Joe Flacco, but on a personal level, it’s the final one that is what is making his tenure with the Cleveland Browns so remarkable.
At 38 years old, the seasoned quarterback is leading a team that has been plagued by tragedy for years with an inspirational brand of football.
On Thursday Night Football, Joe Cool and the team finally conquered everything, defeating the New York Jets 37-20 to get to the postseason. At Cleveland Browns Stadium, Flacco’s wife and five kids were present to witness this historic event and share in the excitement with No. 15.
Joe Flacco of the Browns never loses focus on the big picture
“Having children at my kids’ age is extremely uncommon for players,” Flacco remarked to the Amazon Prime postgame team.
“You don’t have the chance to do that. It’s really awesome. Although I believe it’s great for kids, I’ll actually be the one who recalls this the most. And while they’ll remember it and find it unbelievable, my wife and I will always cherish this special experience.
