There are two games left for Notre Dame before their season ends. Marcus Freeman, nevertheless, reports that two Fighting Irish players will already be out for the rest of the season.

Three players received updates on their injuries from Freeman at his Monday press conference. He began with offensive lineman Rocco Spindler, who will be sidelined for the remainder of the fall due to a surgically necessary knee injury.

“There was a knee injury to Rocci Spindler. Thus, he will have surgery this week and miss the entire season, according to Freeman.

As a third-year offensive lineman for Notre Dame, Spindler has started every game the team has played in 2023 thus far.

Freeman also disclosed that S Luke Talich will miss the last two games due to injury. He had to have surgery after breaking his collarbone during practice, which is the reason for this announcement.

Luke Talich suffered a broken collarbone during practice. He will be sidelined for the remainder of the year following surgery, according to Freeman.

In his first year of college, Talich, a freshman from Cody, Wyoming, was present in eight games for South Bend.

Freeman concluded by sharing a little more encouraging news about OL Zeke Correll. The senior graduate is still following protocol for a concussion, but he is still expected to play against Wake Forest this weekend.

Zeke Correll is still under concussion protocol, so as of right now, Freeman stated, “we’ll say he’s questionable for Saturday.”

With two games remaining, Notre Dame can conclude the season with nine victories, which might tie or surpass Freeman’s winning total from his rookie campaign in 2022—depending on a bowl victory. However, they will be unable to do so without Spindler and Talich’s assistance, and as of Monday, Correll’s situation is still unclear.
