Sad Eagles supporters were teased for their paper bag-wearing during the Buccaneers game.
After suffering a crushing 32-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night, the Philadelphia Eagles’ miserable season came to an ugly conclusion.
The reigning NFC champions had a terrible finish to the season, dropping their final six games in the regular season before falling to Baker Mayfield and company on Monday night.
After the game, Jason Kelce informed his teammates that he would be retiring from the NFL, leaving the Eagles with a lot of questions going into the summer.
These three Eagles fans seemed to come prepared for the season-ending loss, as they put paper bags on their heads in the final minutes:
Kelce was seen sobbing on TV as the last seconds of Tuesday’s game in Philadelphia passed, gazing out at a pitch and a season gone.
This offseason, the Eagles have a lot of problems to address, starting with Nick Sirianni’s future as head coach, Jalen Hurts’ health at quarterback, the dynamics in the locker room, and wide receiver A.J. Brown’s diva-like demeanour.
However, there was also speculation among NFL fans as to whether this was Kelce’s last game ever. Announcer and former NFL player Troy Aikman remarked, “That looks like a man filled with emotion.”
One admirer tweeted, “An amazing player and a good human.” “If it’s over, he made an impression on football. Actual impact.”
