The next drive saw Seattle finally get offence going, aided by a 51-yard pass from Wilson to Doug Baldwin to the San Francisco 11. Unfortunately, the Seahawks’ drive ended in failure, and they had to settle for a 32-yard field goal from Stephen Hauschka to cut the deficit to 10-3. The Seahawks got the ball close to field goal at the conclusion of the second quarter, but they turned it over on downs. Seattle then forced a punt on the following possession. The 49ers were ahead 10-3 at the half when SF kneeled the ball to end the game.#
On the opening drive of the second half, the Seahawks defence forced a punt, giving their offence the ball close to middle, and Seattle began feeding the Beast (mode). Wilson connected with Baldwin for 4 yards to set up third and one after Marshawn Lynch gained 16 yards on the drive’s opening two attempts. After Lynch broke out for a 40-yard touchdown run, the score was tied 10–10. The ensuing drive, which saw SF march down the field and end it with a 26-yard touchdown pass from Kaepernick to Anquan Boldin, gave them the advantage again, 17-10. Doug Baldwin put the Seahawks in a great position with a spectacular 69-yard kickoff return. They moved forward into the danger area.#
