Chiefs are actively monitoring the performance of Mbabane midfielder Leon Manyisa, setting their sights on potential reinforcements ahead of the new season.

 

Sources reveal that Kaizer Chiefs’ football manager, Bobby Motaung, personally scouted Leon Manyisa during the recent King’s Spectacular Cup in Eswatini. Manyisa, who impressed representing the Eswatini national team in the COSAFA Cup held in Gqeberha, caught Motaung’s attention with his standout performances.

 

BOBBY MOTAUNG’S IMPRESSION AND DISCUSSIONS

“Bobby Motaung was here in Eswatini a few weeks ago,” said a source. The source disclosed that he attended another tournament featuring another South African team, Blue Crane from Mpumalanga, and he was impressed by the youngster’s performance.

 

Motaung has already initiated discussions with Chiefs’ technical team regarding Manyisa’s potential transfer, with indications that Mbabane Swallows are open to negotiations.

If Manyisa joins Kaizer Chiefs, he will follow in the footsteps of notable Eswatini players like Dennis Masina, Wonder Nhleko, and Sbusiso Dlamini, who have made their mark in the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL).

 

In related news, Kaizer Chiefs are intensifying efforts to bolster their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.
