Mark Mapletoft’s side, who won the Under-20 Six Nations in March after beating France in Pau, defeated Ireland in a thrilling semi-final to reach their first final since 2018.
England last won the tournament in 2016 and face a French side aiming to win their fourth title in a row after hammering New Zealand 55-31 in their semi-final.
“It is one of those things that you get asked and you don’t really know what to say,” Carnduff said.
“It would be a huge honour and privilege and to do it with this group of lads would be super special.”
A first final in six years comes after England reached six finals in a row from 2013-2018.
“The men’s pathway staff have worked incredibly hard over the past three to four years post-Covid to try and get it back to a starting point where we can be competitive,” Mapletoft added.
“It shows this year that we are able to compete with teams that have dominated Six Nations and Under-20 World Cups.”Jones; Redshaw, Waghorn, Kerr, Wills; Coen, Allan; Opoku-Fordjour, Wright, Fasogbon, Bailey, Kpoku, Carnduff (capt), Pollock, James.Ferte; Biasotto, Brau-Boirie, Taccola, Mousques; Reus, Carbonneau; Julien, Massa, Duchene, Gambini, Mezou, Quere-Karaba, Malaterre, Castro-Ferreira.
