Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the contract details of their new head coach Nasreddine Nabi and his technical staff.
Nabi brought his own including assistant coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Fernando Da Cruz, goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi as well as strength and conditioning coach Safi Majdi.
GOAL had first reported that Mzoughi signed a two-year deal with Amakhosi.
Chiefs have now revealed that Nabi and his members have also penned two-year contracts with the option to extend by a further year.
“After what has been a fairly exhaustive vetting process, it gives us great pleasure to finally welcome our new head coach to Kaizer Chiefs,” said Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr.
“We believe we have found the right man to fulfil our vision of restoring Amakhosi to our rightful place at the top of the football pyramid, and we welcome coach Nabi and his technical team with the pledge of unity and support in pursuit of our common goal.”
Nabi, who holds a UEFA Pro coaching licence, succeeds Molefi Ntseki as the permanent head coach at Chiefs,
The Tunisian mentor led Moroccan club AS FAR Rabat to the Botola Pro League second-place finish in the 2023/24 season. Rabat also lost in a final of the Moroccan Throne Cup against Raja Casablanca.
A two-year deal represents a significant show of faith in Nabi by the Amakhosi hierarchy as the club seeks to bring their glory days back after a series of turbulent seasons.
